Impact of Programmes - Serving People & the Environment


ICENECDEV focuses on participatory cooperation, with broad-based stakeholder involvement and consultations in information gathering, project planning , implementation and evaluation. This has led to long last impact in schools, prison and local communities in Cameroon.

Our programmes have had the following impact on our target communities and environment.

  • " Providing Access to renewable Energy and Clean Energy to more than 10,000 people Improving indoor Air Quality and contribute to the realization of the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and 17 Sustainable Development
  • Since 2011 ICENECDEV has built more than 100 partnerships with the private sector, Foundations, Universities and Businesses
  • " Between 2014 t0 2017 ,ICENECDEV has secured more than $ 100,000(in commitment) to promote sustainable practices in the agriculture sector in Cameroon
  • " More than 5,000 smallholder women farmers have been empowered on Agricultural Literacy, Land Preparation, Use/Misuse of Agrochemicals, Pests and Diseases, Environmental conservation(Soil and Agroforestry) and Agricultural marketing(Farm Records and Record Keeping)
  • Established Micro finance scheme in providing access to loan for investment on agricultural projects of smallholders women farmers through the Cameroon Women Farmers network with more than 500 members.
  • " More than 1,000 detainees , 5,000 school children and community members have been provided with Access to Water ,Hygiene and Sanitation(WASH) Services in Cameroon, Between 2012 to 2017.
  • " Since 2009, more than 500 educators and 100,000 students/pupils and community members have been provided with access to environmental education materials and information through our national and international networks/Partners.
  • " More than 100,000 People Educated and sensitized on the Impact of Marine Plastic Litter and Micro plastic on Marine Wildlife, Marine ecosystem and Human Health along the West Coast of Cameroon.
  • " Engage more than 100 stakeholders and community members on promoting Forest Conservation Practices( Agroforestry,Ecotourism, Beekeeping and Production of Improved Cook Stoves) in the Mount Cameroon Forest Region .

 

Women Farmers Literacy Center


The project involve the building of hall of two floor of 8 squares metres at lower Bokova Village (mile15) to be used as a community hall for training on agricultural literacy and Community library. The goal of the project is to promote agricultural literacy and improve sustainable livelihood among 2,000 women farmers in village communities in Buea South West Region, Cameroon.

ICENECDEV is building a global grassroots to raise environmental awareness, promoting education and supporting community development programs by sharing practical ways in which people are addressing environmental conservation issues

PROGRAMMES

Each year ICENECDEV promote environmental conservation education in schools, prisons and local communities in Cameroon by establishing environmental clubs liaison with school administration in primary and secondary schools in Cameroon.
